Steps to Practicing Medicine in the USA
Chronological Steps to Practicing Medicine for an International Graduate
     
1.  Register for the ECFMG Examination http://www.ecfmg.org
2.  Register with ERAS to be assigned an Internship/Residency Program in the USA http://www.eras.org
3. Register with NRMP http://www.nrmp.org
4. Participate in the Post-Match Scramble if not placed  
5. Once placed, complete the 2 to 3 years of Residency Program
6. Take and pass Step 3 of the USMLE Examination (You will need to have completed all 3 steps in less than 7 years. Each step will need to be passed by the 3rd attempt to insure that you can license in all 50 States)
